Altered Images Art Artwork is created by Anita Dammersmith.

Specialising in largely abstract images, Anita uses colors that gives her work a unique edge, providing a look of today using hues and tones that compliment any decor.

Anita was born in Melbourne, and has travelled extensively throughout Australia, Asia and Europe.Stuying photography at RMIT, she recieved an opportunity to work at a creative level in the television industry. This opportunity continued for in excess of twenty years during which time she was involved in international and local drama, international and local sporting events and news and current affairs. It was during long days on set and travelling that she turned to painting as an outlet to express and interpret her experiences.She is passionate about capturing those moments in nature that reflect light and tones through works. Done well, emotions, personalities and sentiments shine through her works which are pieces that create memories that will last a lifetime.

 

Her specialties are still life, nudes and landscapes. Anita also works with interior designers to help mould a look by adding a splash of color, bold bruhstrokes and her trademark layering effect.,she also offes a wide variety of canvas sizes and all vary in price. Anita can also be contacted for consultations to your home for advice on design and color.

Her works have been sold in Queensland, Melbourne and Sydney.She has appeared in Home Beautiful Australia, Melbourne Weekly Magazine and has exhibited at various Art Shows.Currently she will exhibit at Canterbury Artshow in May and Ripponlea in June. Her works can also be displayed at Watts Cooking Cafe Surrey Hills Victoria.
